Kenyan Refugee Fundraiser
My name is Angela Ryu and I am an American born Korean. I passionately enjoy human anatomy and music, and I have a strong desire to help people in need through medical and musical assistances. I also take part in photography and gardening.
Community Service Community service is the most impactful way to create a change in my community. I enjoy working together with my peers to take action in making our world a happier place. I am involved in two programs: KYDO and SKY. |
Music Being in the music industry for 10 years, I nurtured my love and skills for the violin. Violin was a tool I utilized to bring joy to my community, as well as a way for me to shape and express my deep emotions. |
Medicine
My passion to learn about the human anatomy and physiology began with surgical videos on youtube. As I began to desire hands on opportunities, I attended Brown University's medical summer camp and Stanford University's surgical internship. |
Mission Through mission trips through the New Community Baptist Church, I was able to lend a helping hand to many Japanese children in Japan and Syrian Refugee children in Amman, Jordan. |
