Medical
Ever since eight grade, I have been fascinated with the functions of the human body, specifically the heart. In order to satisfy my desire for knowledge, I resorted to watching videos of different types of heart surgeries and researching the history of heart surgery. I also bought sutures and practiced suturing a banana in my free time. By tenth grade, I was no longer satisfied with learning a mere computer screen. I wanted to begin interacting with professional medical staff and facility, while encountering hands on experience with the guidance of professionals. Thus, I applied to Brown and Stanford's medical programs. Brown provided me with very informational lectures and I felt welcomed by the kind professors and medical students. I plan to continue my journey in the medical field and translate my passion to learn into a passion to heal.
